Las Vegas police: Two boys, 16, arrested in fatal drive-by shooting

Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting last month that left two people dead, according to Metro Police.

Both teens, who were not identified, were booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of open murder, police said.

The shooting was reported about 11:45 p.m. on July 13 at a home in the 3000 block of Kaibab Avenue, police said.

Officers found a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound near a driveway, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A short time later, officers learned another person was at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with a gunshot wound connected to the same incident, police said. He also died, police said.

Both males were shot in front of a home from a vehicle that was driving by, police said. No additional details were released at the time.
