Las Vegas police: Man found dead with gunshot wound in vehicle

A person was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle stopped in the middle of a road, according to Metro Police.

A shooting was reported about 3:45 a.m. Monday in the 3900 block of Palos Verdes Street, police said.

The male victim and a woman were seen in the area prior to the shooting, police said. After the shooting, the woman was spotted running through an apartment complex in the area, police said.

The victim, meanwhile, got into a vehicle and drove off before coming to an abrupt stop in the road, police said.

Officers found him in the vehicle in the 400 block of Calcaterra Circle, police said. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name, police said.

No arrests were announced, and police said the investigation was ongoing.
