Jackson will make her fourth appearance at the 2024 Essence Festival of Culture, which this year runs July 5-7, 2024, in the Superdome in New Orleans.

Pop superstar Janet Jackson is bringing her act back to Las Vegas, this time for a 10-date residency at Resorts World Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Strip property announced the residency in a news release Wednesday morning.

“Janet Jackson: Las Vegas” opens with back-to-back dates Dec. 30 and New Years Eve, Dec. 31, at the Resorts World Theater. Also announced were eight additional shows in January and February 2025.

“Janet Jackson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music,” said Bobby Reynolds, senior vice president with AEG Presents Las Vegas, which is presenting the shows. “We could not be more thrilled to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip and her venue debut at our award-winning Resorts World Theatre, and to kick off 2025 with a run of sure-to-be-unforgettable shows.”

With sales of over 180 million records worldwide, Jackson stands as one of the best-selling artists of all time with a string of hits — including “Miss You Much,” “Escapade,” “That’s the Way Love Goes” and “Nasty — that have left an indelible impression on pop culture. Her music has collected five Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, an Academy Award nomination, along with dozens of American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards.

She just completed the North American portion of her “Together Again” Tour and is heading to Europe for 11 dates in September and October before returning for her Resorts World Las Vegas residency.

Jackson’s latest studio album, “Unbreakable,” was released in 2015; in 2022, she was featured in a four-part docuseries about her life and career that ran on the Lifetime and A&E cable networks.

Jackson, 58, has performed dozens of times in Las Vegas, dating to 1986, according to the website setlist.fm. In 2019 — the same year she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside her famous brothers — her critically acclaimed “Metamorphosis” residency played 18 nights at Park MGM.

In addition to her December shows, Jackson is scheduled to perform Jan. 3 and 4 and Feb. 5, 7, 8, 12, 14 and 15 during her Resorts World run.

Tickets to the 10 Resorts World Las Vegas performances will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. Aug. 28 at AXS.com.
