A Metro Police “DUI blitz” resulted in 33 arrests on counts of driving under the Influence, the agency reported via the X social media platform.
The operation was carried out Sunday as an estimated 400,000 people converged on Las Vegas to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
The blitz, which places an increased number of officers on the street looking for suspected impaired drivers, also resulted in the issuance of 181 citations and the recovery of three guns, police said.
