A woman died after a pickup truck crashed and overturned Thursday night, throwing her from the vehicle, according to Metro Police.
The crash was reported about 9:40 p.m. at Russel Road and Arville Street, police said. The truck was headed west on Russel when it ran off the road and hit a short block wall, police said.
The truck then went back into the road and overturned, ejecting the passenger, police said. The 31-year-old Las Vegas woman was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver, a 56-year-old Las Vegas man, remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, police said.
Police said the reason the truck ran off the road was unknown, and the crash remained under investigation.
