Las Vegas police: Two people killed in weekend drive-by shooting

Two people were fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in the northeast valley, according to Metro Police.

The incident was reported about 11:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of Kaibab Avenue, near Owens Avenue and Mojave Road, police said.

Officers found a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound near a driveway, police said. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

A short time later, officers learned another male was at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with a gunshot wound connected to the same incident, police said. He later died, police said.

Both males were shot in front of a residence from a vehicle that drove past, police said. The investigation was ongoing, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the names of the deceased, police said.
