The Nevada State Police are attending to a fatal crash on I-215 North near North Jones Boulevard, and motorists are advised to avoid the area, according to a news release.
215 Beltway northbound is closed at Jones and is expected to remain closed for six to eight hours, the release stated.
Officers responded to the crash shortly after 4 p.m., which occurred when a vehicle traveling the wrong way struck another vehicle head-on, causing both to catch on fire, the release stated.
The drivers of both vehicles were killed in the collision. A passenger in the wrong-way vehicle was taken to an area hospital, the release stated.
A third vehicle was involved, but the driver did not go to a hospital, the release stated.
