The Raiders are promising a commitment to turn a new pregame, parking-lot setup at Allegiant Stadium into, “the best tailgating experience in the country,” starting next season.

All it will cost for fans to take part is … $20,000 minimum.

“It’s the greatest tailgate fan base, it’s the greatest stadium, it’s the greatest city so let’s do the greatest tailgating party,” said Panos Pappas, the Raiders’ vice president for premium sales and service. “And this is it.”

The franchise vowed to progress its tailgating standards upon moving to Las Vegas from Oakland ahead of the 2020 season, and four posh, mobile spaces are the latest advance.

At a media preview of one of the units Thursday, Pappas said the idea came out of a glut of Raiders’ fans calling and inquiring about wanting to throw all-inclusive tailgate parties.

Las Vegas had nothing of the sort for its first three NFL seasons where fans were allowed to attend the games but has now addressed the need in a big way. The Raiders’ “premium tailgate” will include top-shelf beverages, a special food menu, traditional games like cornhole, two seating areas and an enclosed lounge with a television for watching the early slate of NFL games.

“Everyone coming off the bridge is going to walk by here and go, ‘What is this product? I want to be there. I want to be involved with it. I want to see it. I want to hang out in there,’” Pappas said. “Those are things I want to do as well. We’re really looking forward to it.”

The four units will be lined up next to each other on the East end of Allegiant’s Lot B, right in front of the Hacienda Bridge that thousands of fans walk across to attend games from the Strip.

They are designed to accommodate 15-20 guests, and include both an air-conditioned interior as well as an awning over an outdoor, ground-level seating space and a tentlike cover of a deck up top accessible by a spiraled, metal staircase.

The Raiders will also sell access to the units for other dates on the Allegiant Stadium calendar like concerts and major, neutral-site college football games.

Prices may adjust based on event and demand. In other words, it might be safe to expect a heftier price tag if the Raiders earn their first home playoff game at the $2 billion venue than it would be for, say, this year’s Christmas weekend game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Premium tailgate ticket packages don’t officially go on sale until July, but the Raiders are already taking inquiries at raiders.com or 1(900)RAIDERS (724-3377).

“It’s the most premium city, and we all know that,” Pappas said. “This is the product for premium in tailgating.”
