Tom Jones returning to Las Vegas for a pair of shows at Encore Theater

Tom Jones, whose career spans 60 years, will return to Las Vegas in September with two shows at the Wynn Encore Theater.

Tom Jones, whose singing career has spanned 60 years and who first performed in Las Vegas in 1967, will perform on back-to-back nights in September at Encore Theater at the Wynn.

The two shows, Sept. 28 and 29, will be part of the knighted Welshman’s “Ages & Stages” Tour. Tickets for both performances go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday on ticketmaster.com.

With a career spanning over six decades and over 100 million record sales, Jones is known for his many chart-topping hits such as “It’s Not Unusual,” “Kiss,” “Delilah,” “What’s New Pussycat.”

In the early 1960s, he signed with Decca Records in London, kickstarting a successful and diverse career and achieving international fame with his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence.

His first performance in Las Vegas came in 1967 at the Flamingo, and he became a mainstay among Strip headliners after his “This is Tom Jones” television show became a viewing staple from 1969 to 1971.
