Women, two children killed in wrong-way crash on Henderson freeway

A woman and two children died after her vehicle collided with a semitrailer last week, according to a Nevada State Police news release.

According to police, the crash occurred at about 1:45 a.m. Thursday in the area of mile marker 59 on U.S.-93.

Malia Hoenshell, 29, in a Hyundai Tucson, was driving north on U.S.-93 when her vehicle crossed into the southbound lane into the path of the semitrailer, resulting in a collision, the release stated.

Hoenshell, of Henderson, along with her two juvenile passengers were declared dead at the scene.

Any injuries to the truck driver were not listed.
