Las Vegas police: Juvenile dead after shooting at apartment

A boy was pronounced dead after a shooting Monday inside an apartment in the northeast valley, according to Metro Police.

The shooting was reported about 4:40 p.m. Monday in the 6900 block of Kepler Drive, police said. Officers found a male juvenile suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release his name, police said.

No additional information was released about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrests were announced.

The investigation was ongoing, police said.
