Man dies after being hit by ambulance outside Centennial Hills Hospital

A man died after being hit by an ambulance as it was arriving at the hospital early this morning, according to a Metro Police news release.

The man was reportedly lying in the private drive at Centennial Hills Hospital shortly after 1:30 a.m., when the fire department ambulance turned into the ambulance bay, striking him, police stated.

The 29-year-old was taken into the hospital, where he died, the release stated.

The ambulance and its crew remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to the release.

The incident remains under investigation.
