Victim of hit-and-run this week in Las Vegas has died

The victim of a hit-and-run attack this week did not die despite a report Tuesday that he was deceased, Metro Police state in a news release today.

Brandon Green, 37, is still in critical condition University Medical Center, the release stated. Police stated that he had been misidentified based on a similar physical description and circumstances.

The collision occurred Sunday at about 2:30 a.m., when Green was struck by the vehicle at the intersection of South Durango Drive and Purple Flower Lane, the release stated.

The driver immediately fled the scene without providing any information, the release stated. Police have not provided information on a vehicle or suspect.
