Metro Police officer arrested on domestic violence charges

A Metro Police officer was arrested Friday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on multiple domestic violence-related charges, the department said this morning in a news release.

Officer Jeremiah Jordan, who has been employed with Metro since 2023, faces five charges: one count of assault domestic violence with use of a deadly weapon, three counts of coercion domestic violence with threat or use of physical force and one count of domestic battery.

Jordan will be placed on suspension of police powers without pay pending further investigation, officials said. He is part of the Community Safety Division at Enterprise Area Command.
