Morgan Wallen brought his stadium tour to Las Vegas Friday night, but it wasn’t just his chart-topping hits that had the crowd buzzing.
The country star stepped out in a Larry Johnson No. 4 UNLV basketball jersey during part of his performance at Allegiant Stadium, giving a nod to Las Vegas basketball royalty.
Whether Wallen is a die-hard Rebels fan or simply knows how to work a room, the gesture will likely be well received by UNLV faithful. Johnson is one of the most celebrated players in program history, leading the Rebels to the 1990 national championship.
It’s not the first time LJ’s jersey has been part of a celebration. Golden Knights goalie Adin Hill wore it during the Stanley Cup championship parade in 2023. The university later honored him at a game.
Allegiant Stadium, which seats more than 65,000, has become one of the premier concert venues in the country since opening in 2020. Wallen will play there again tonight.
