Las Vegas Sun

March 28, 2024

CORRECTION: A map that accompanied a story in Monday's Sun about the economic slowdown in the Las Vegas Valley incorrectly named six businesses that were not among the ones mentioned in the story as struggling or shuttered. The map was plotted by the reporter to identify businesses he would visit during his reporting. After his drive around town, he sent an e-mail to the graphic artist instructing him to remove the names of businesses that, it turned out, would not have a role in the story. That e-mail was misunderstood by the artist, who did not remove the names of the businesses, which are open and operating. Those businesses are Basset Furniture Direct, Century Furniture, Corona Furniture, Flying J Travel Plaza, Silver Nugget Gaming and Walker Discount Desk.
