LONELY JOB | JAN. 30 President Bush arrives at McCarran International Airport before delivering a speech on the war on terrorism at the Nevada Policy Research Institute. I waited with other local media on the tarmac for hours in the cold as it seemed that Air Force One might never arrive. When the president's plane finally landed, the motorcade blocked most of my views of his exit from the plane. I watched through my 400 mm telephoto lens for any glimpse. Then, I got a clear view as the presidential limo pulled away. President Bush sat alone, appearing worn. When I look at this frame now, I feel it holds the essence of his quickly approaching exit from office.
