BUTTON, BUTTON | AUG. 5 Obama campaign buttons drew lots of attention at the 2008 American Political Items Collectors National Convention at the Riviera. The convention attracts a small but fervent community that celebrates a love of political memorabilia. This year's show included historical items, dating to Abraham Lincoln campaign needlework banners and 1972 buttons that said, "President Nixon. Now more than ever." Just before this year's national party conventions, there were buttons featuring various combinations of presidential candidates and running mates -- including the candidate who will soon be inaugurated as the 44th president.
