Candlelighters Superhero 5K

The annual Candlelighters Superhero 5K fundraiser, benefiting the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, was held virtually this year. Participants in superhero capes and other costumes completed the 5K by walking or running in their neighborhood, local park or one of several inspirational routes Sept. 19-25. The inspirational routes had special elements such as a “run leader” hosting a run at each route for extra cheer and support, motivational sidewalk chalk art drawn by volunteers, and participants could possibly encounter other runners wearing superhero capes or other costumes. Participants were also invited to take a photo on their route at one of the cityscape photo booth set-ups available at three locations.
