Emerging 2nd world nations like China and India will create a large upper middle and upper classes. They will come to Las Vegas in huge waves. Las Vegas will have to "mature" in its attitude toward water as other "water poor" areas of the world have done...and that is embrace 100% water recycling. Water purification technology is light years of what the news media is reporting. It's a bit pricier than what we're doing now, but compared to growth/no growth and stripping our "virgin" supplies of water, the price will be well, well worth it. Many areas of the world are doing this, even blue blooded conservative Orange County California. Closed loop, not environmental and community destruction.
