Having watched some of the televised impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill over the past few days, I would like to say to all the Republican members of Congress who have abdicated their offices, broken their sworn collective oaths of office and tried to debase or minimize those lawfully testifying before oversight committees: All of you should go back to where you came from.
Go back under your rocks, back in your caves, back to toadying up to authoritative people, anywhere but where you are, as you clearly do not belong in Congress.
I hope Moscow Mitch is feeling twinges of apprehension, given that the governor’s mansion has gone Democratic in his home state. I simply cannot believe these lawmakers refuse to believe the testimony being given by career, nonpartisan diplomats of the president’s clear case of bribery and extortion.
I also hope all of these Republicans get voted out of office next year. They do not deserve to be there. And while we’re at it, President Donald Trump won the 2016 election because Russian President Vladimir Putin bought and paid for him. The majority of the American people did not vote for Trump and do not respect him. He also needs to go back to where he came from but alas, New York doesn’t want him.
