Former President Barack Obama once said in a speech that it was not about blue states or red states, it’s about the United States.
The upcoming election is about staying divided or attempting to come together as a united nation. Former Vice President Joe Biden has pledged to make every effort to bring us together. President Donald Trump is incapable of treating those opposed to him as equal. Trump constantly criticizes mayors and governors of “blue states” and applauds the efforts of the GOP politicians in the “red states.
We will never cure what ills our country if we continue to treat half of our country as the enemy.
We have always been know as the United States of America not the Divided States of America. This upcoming election will determine what we want to be called. Scary times.
