The impeachment “trial” is over but as more and more evidence continues to be revealed, it becomes painfully clear that our country is in trouble. A morally bankrupt president and the Republican Party are destroying the fabric of our country and the essence of us as a people.
The checks and balances put in place by the Founding Fathers to stop a tyrant from taking over have failed. Between the president’s abuse of power and the Republicans being complicit, our options to stop this madness grow smaller by the day.
Crooked propaganda machines like Fox News have muddied the waters so badly that no one trusts any news outlets anymore. We’re learning more about the criminal and treasonous acts by this administration from lawsuits and greedy individuals writing books than actual law enforcement. Couple that with the Republican leadership taking advantage of the situation by adding judges who have the same ideological agenda as them, and our problems are compounded.
They’re gerrymandering everywhere, suppressing the vote in key states and allowing foreign powers like Russia to affect our elections, all so they can remain in power. The time for waiting on someone else to save us is over. We have to stand up now and make them hear us, by voting, before they figure out how to get what they really want and render all of our votes meaningless.
