I visit Las Vegas every few months. My last experience with a taxi from Caesars Palace to the airport has made Uber my choice from now on.
Even when I asked to go directly to the airport, the taxi driver turned right onto Flamingo Road and said it would be faster to take the highway — at noon on a Wednesday, with minimal street traffic.
The cost was an extra $12, but the driver got no tip because of that. Two days, later my granddaughter experienced the same ripoff. I am sorry taxis are losing business, but some drivers are making that happen.
