I find it sadly amusing that there are people who believe the United States will be unified again, but only if their preferred candidate is in charge.
Considering it’s the politicians who will still be running the show and after seeing their constant cloying displays of divisiveness, it’s unimaginable that unity can be achieved on any level.
There will never be any real unity without political compromise — something that both parties avoid like the plague. If they’d swallow their hardliner attitudes — quit being shills for all the Big Money people who buy politicians to further their own agendas — and politically coexist for our benefit instead of their own, I’d wager that most of this social divisiveness would begin to fade.
Wishful thinking, I know, but maybe one day
