LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Trump’s tax story not over

What a bunch of suckers and losers we taxpayers are. How does Mr. Billionaire President get away with paying a whopping $750 in federal income taxes in 2016 and again in 2017? I’m 81, living on Social Security, and I paid more than that.

Who is President Donald Trump beholden to for the $421 million in personally guaranteed loans? His son Eric, in 2014, said the family didn’t need American banks. They were getting all the money they needed from Russia.

Does Putin have a firm grip on the president’s purse strings? I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg and there will be a lot more coming out about Trump’s creative maneuvers within the tax code.

Trump is the unindicted co-conspirator in his attorney Michael Cohen’s conviction on campaign violation charges. Cohen also laid out in sworn testimony how Trump committed bank and insurance fraud.

New York’s attorney general is pressing for Trump’s tax returns but has been stymied by Trump’s endless court filings to keep his taxes out of the public eye.

Robert Mueller should have looked into the president’s financial connections to Russia for national security purposes, but he didn’t. Attorney General William Barr is in Trump’s pocket, so he won’t do it, but a new Justice Department in January could follow the money trail, and maybe Trump’s next term will be in a designer orange jump suit sitting in the “big house.”
