LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Opinions shape cable news shows

Reading the Jan. 31 letter “Hour of Fox News was illuminating,” about the writer’s hour of Fox News viewing, he did accidentally what I usually do every day while viewing cable news. When an ad comes on after a segment, I switch to another cable station (Fox, CNN, MSNBC) to garner what’s up.

The cascade of news switches before my eyes and ears at times is entertaining, shocking, humorous, informative, confusing, etc. Primarily if the viewer is relatively sane, like me, the confusion of a high percentage of the cable news programming is opinion.

Get it? Opinion — not news — which has had a great influence toward the division we are experiencing these days in the good old USA.
