With the assistance of our nephew, my wife and I were able to book an appointment online to receive the Moderna vaccine at Cashman Center.
From the moment we entered the facility and encountered the first National Guardsman on duty, until we exited after receiving the vaccine , we personally experienced the professionalism and proficiency of the operation jointly conducted by Clark County, the Southern Nevada Health District and members of the Nevada National Guard.
Throughout the process for those over 70 years of age, we were treated with the utmost courtesy and dignity. And we had the opportunity to observe the compassionate manner in which the Guardsmen assisted other seniors who were much less ambulatory than us.
I proudly served for years with the Air National Guard, and was honorably discharged in 1976, and I believe that all Nevada residents should be profoundly gratified for the service of the women and men of Nevada’s Army National Guard units and Nevada’s Air National Guard squadrons.
