As a barely average student in my elementary education, I find Jamelle Bouie’s July 21 column, “Republicans now have two ways to threaten American elections,” about U.S. history going back to the Civil War, enlightening.
It seems the ongoing racial troubles and divide have clearly not been successfully resolved due to the impunity of past historical figures that promoted misconceptions and lies, leading to further prejudice.
As a retired young senior, thank you for articles that help me better understand the current times.
