Democrats need also to convince Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona that the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill could be more transformative than President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal.
Both Manchin and Sinema seem unable to comprehend that what Democrats are doing is the 21st century remaking of America.
The bill is historic and would likely return the Democratic Party to dominance in U.S. politics for the balance of the 21st century, a distinction the party enjoyed in the last half of the 20th century. Manchin and Sinema must be convinced to get on the train and see how receptive from sea to shining sea Americans are of the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill.
