Gee, what a surprise! It looks as though our Supreme Court will soon rule that discrimination based on sexual orientation is fine. This comes just days after former President Donald trump suggested throwing out the Constitution for the sole purpose of overturning an election he lost.
Whatever happened to checks and balances? Isn’t that one of the main touchstones of how legitimate our government is?
When did the Supreme Court change from ruling on the legality of laws passed by Congress, to choosing which laws to declare illegal because they go against conservative views? Oh, I remember: It was when we elected Republican presidents who installed conservative justices who would adjudicate cases based solely on whether a law meets the conservative agenda, not whether it conforms to the Constitution. The Constitution will be the next thing to be declared unconstitutional. Just wait.
