Has anyone heard the name Mary Mallon? Also known as Typhoid Mary, she was repeatedly forced into mandatory quarantine in the early part of the last century because she kept infecting people with typhoid everywhere she worked. She refused to believe she really had the disease, and kept working as a cook.
Are people aware that you can be convicted of a crime for having sexual intercourse if you are HIV-positive and your sexual partner later contracts AIDS?
So it has been a crime in America to intentionally spread at least two different diseases.
Yet people who refuse a COVID-19 vaccination are seen as making a personal choice, not as people intentionally threatening the health of everyone around them. I don’t really see the difference in the situations.
