I read your section of the paper almost every day, and I think you are conveying the news fairly and truthfully. Thank you for that.
I have a postcard that I have saved since 2012. It’s an image of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., featuring a quote from Abraham Lincoln: “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” When I saw it, I felt I had to keep it.
Never had the message from this been so true as it is today. The people of America need to hear and see these words from one of the great presidents of this country’s history.
These days I look at the postcard on my kitchen wall daily. And it scares the hell out of me when I hear the Big Lie repeated over and over. Also, the begging for money from former President Donald Trump, as if he’s entitled to it to hold Republicans where he wants them, then the country.
