The right to vote is worth defending.
Republicans, Democrats and independents have fought in countless battles to preserve our republic and our freedoms. They did not fight to preserve a political party, they fought to preserve our way of life. These battles were fought by brave souls who in many cases gave their lives.
We owe them a debt of gratitude and respect. Our political party should never come before our nation.
How can anyone, especially those serving this nation in Congress, can continue to deny the violence that occurred Jan. 6, 2021? I saw with my own eyes the attack on our government. I saw people use the American flag as a weapon in an attempt to overthrow our government while it was in session. Shame on them and all who supported them, and those who continue to do so.
We owe all those who fought to preserve our way of life something better than insurrection. It is time to stand up and get involved in defending our government and the Constitution.
I hope that when the mid-term elections comes around, those who work for election departments throughout this nation are shown the respect they deserve for doing a great service to this nation.
