Trump likely to escape justice

So the House committee investigating the events of Jan. 6, 2021, has conducted 850 interviews. Hurray. What it hasn’t done is affix any blame for the insurrection. It has interviewed, discussed, postured and dithered for months now.

In a little more than six months, there will be an election, followed by the Democrats probably losing control of each house of Congress. The first act of the new Republican majority in the House will be to dissolve the Jan. 6 committee. Once again, Donald Trump will dodge a bullet. I think calling Ronald Reagan the teflon president is wholly inaccurate. It is clearly Trump who always escapes scot-free.
