Most countries do not give their Supreme Court justices lifetime appointments. It is time to make changes.
I suggest that each justice be given a 10-year term with an automatic renewal of 10 years, unless a majority of the Senate objects.
This would term out Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas andJohn Roberts, and put Justice Elena Kagan up for a further 10-year period.
There’s nothing like a fresh perspective.
