Nothing in this world makes sense anymore. As an example, while grocery prices continue to go up, the value of human life is declining at an alarming rate.
Mass shootings, once an American phenomenon, are now being emulated around the globe. What’s more, politicians who once tried to get elected by being more honest than their opponents are now resigned to being more outrageous instead.
And climate change deniers who continue to ignore the apocalyptic events caused by human indifference insist that Mother Nature will eventually even things out — as though mankind is merely an observer of the inevitable.
Humanity can ill-afford to wait out its demise, distracted in part by the inflammatory rhetoric of a disgraced ex-president. “Make America Great” has become as outdated as its originator.
What’s needed is a new catchphrase and a new call to action; something that’s easy to remember but impossible to lose in meaning. Maybe something as simple as “Do Something!”
