Someone has to tell President Joe Biden and Democratic candidates that crime and inflation are issues favorable to their party and must be used in the waning days of the campaign.
Democrats must blame Republicans for the rise in crime because it is Republicans who are putting guns and AR-15s in the hands of Americans, including teenagers. Republicans are symbiotic allies of the National Rifle Association, the main mission of which is to arm Americans to the teeth, and are sacrificing lives to pad the bank accounts of gun manufacturers. Gun manufacturers are Republicans’ cash cows.
On inflation, the president and Democrats must remind Americans that it is a worldwide problem that is the flip side of the coin of the pandemic. They must point out that inflation here is much lower than in most countries. This is because of the president’s and Federal Reserve’s efforts to keep inflation rates down.
They must also point out that our record employment numbers coupled with Americans’ increasing incomes have made it easier for people to cope with inflation.
Inflation is what happens when the world’s economies wake up from a pandemic. During the pandemic, prices are artificially low, but once it ends, prices shoot up. It is not the fault of either the Democrats or the Republicans.
