It has been reported that the Senate is allocating $150 million for preforeclosure counseling and stronger loan requirements. But why are lenders being subsidized to that extent for a job they are paid to do anyway?
That amount of money could be sent to each state to use for education. Wouldn’t that be a nice windfall for Nevada?
Also, our generous Senate plans to subsidize the poor builders in light of housing problems. And, if you are rich enough to be able to afford foreclosed houses to help out the lenders who made these loans, you will get a tax credit of $7,000 for each home you purchase.
We have too many people in our Congress who have their priorities in the wrong place.
