Robert Daskas lives! The anointed Democratic challenger to Rep. Jon Porter is having his first news conference since he announced his candidacy last year. Using tomorrow’s tax day as a hook, Daskas plans to announce his “priorities for working families” at a union hall, with AFL-CIO boss Danny Thompson next to him. Let me guess: We are going to hear a lot about “working families” in this campaign — that is as poll-tested a phrase as “Nevada families” has been since races in the 3rd Congressional District began at the beginning of the millennium. Daskas will stand up for them! And my guess is Thompson will tell us how right Daskas is in those priorities and how bad Porter is for working Nevada families. Just guessing.
