Oh those zanies at the Nevada Development Authority are at it again in California. Last week they had folks dress up as bears outside the state Capitol and wear sandwich boards that declared: “It’s time to feed the bear. (I’m always hungry for more.)” And they were passing out gummy bears! Laff riot, I tell ya. And a Sacramento chamber rep got in the game to the capital paper, the Bee: “We’re the Golden State. They’re the Silver State. That’s what they call themselves, right? You have to do desperate things when you’re in second place. California is where innovation happens for the world. Dancing bears are great, (but) business goes to where the talent is.” And comedy goes where the funny folks are — and that doesn’t appear to be Sacramento.
