The Democrats in this state don’t have much time to decide who they really are. In case you missed it, sales tax revenue still is down across the board in Nevada, which means more cuts are coming, probably by the end of May. So what do the Democrats do — once again enable the slashing chief executive or become the not-so-loyal-opposition and demand a special session? If there is another round of cuts, it’s hard to see how whatever damage already has been done doesn’t become worse. And the Democrats will decide to be either part of that solution or part of finding something better. Yes, this is a careful-what-you-wish-for possible scenario. Gov. No New Taxes might welcome them to the capital. But better to have fought and lost ...
