LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Obama is starting to contradict himself

As I watch the debates and follow the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, I am finding Obama to be somewhat disingenuous with a little phoniness thrown in. With Clinton you know what you get.

Just as she said at the last debate: “I come with a lot of baggage and it’s been rummaged through.” She certainly has validated she is one tough gal. Takes a lickin’ but keeps on tickin’ — possibly a required asset for presidential material?

I am curious just how many are aware that just about a year ago it was Obama who said Don Imus should be fired (not forgiven, but fired) for a two-second remark made in jest for which he later apologized (many times over).

Yet it is the same Barack Obama who says he can no longer disassociate himself from the Rev. Wright even though the reverend made derogatory and contemptible remarks against our great country. The same country that has given Obama the opportunity to run for president.

Yes, Hillary Clinton has many faults, but to her credit she has run on a platform of solutions, all of which she sets out in plain English on her Web site and on the stump.

Obama is running on a platform of change (even thought he exhibits more and more the behavior of a Washington politician) but never completely explains just how he will implement these changes. And, for some unbeknown reason, the media always seem to make a positive from one of his negatives and, sadly, vice versa for Hillary.

On to Indiana and North Carolina (but no debate, per Obama).
