Regarding the Las Vegas Sun’s Saturday story, “Gibbons not living at the Mansion”:
Let’s see if I get this straight. We, the taxpayers of Nevada, for better or worse, elected Jim Gibbons governor. We provide a residence called the Governor’s Mansion for him to live in while he performs the duties we have entrusted to him — and we pay for it.
So now, he and his wife are having some domestic issues, and he moves out and she gets to continue living in the taxpayers’ house?
I’ve got a better idea.
Dawn Gibbons should leave and let the taxpayers’ representative do our business in our mansion. If she wants to live there, she should get elected governor or live with the one we’ve got.
