It’s hardly surprising anymore to see the bonding of the two-headed senator known as Harry Ensign. The Nevada senators, Harry Reid and John Ensign, have worked together for so long and are so deferential to each other that I might start to believe they like each other. (Maybe Ensign will even endorse Reid in 2010? Maybe even both Reids, the one running for Senate and the one running for governor?) But Harry Ensign and the power company? Can it be? In a news release and a public service announcement, the senators have linked with Sierra Pacific boss Michael Yackira to promote energy conservation in these tough times. Nowhere, however, in the spots is coal, clean or otherwise, discussed.
