State Democrats are into Web sites this cycle. First it was the “America’s Worst Governor” one for Jim Gibbons. Now it’s one to try to link Rep. Jon Porter to the president — porterlovesbush.com — that went up this week. You know the drill by now — Jon Porter is a rubber stamp for the president, he’s part of the failed Bush administration and so on. The problem for Porter, who has been running a “George Who?” campaign for months, is that there are those pictures of him with the president, which may have been helpful at one time but are poisonous when he is in the fight for his political life with state Sen. Dina Titus. Just as a Web site won’t bring Gibbons down, this site won’t kill Porter. But it may be a straw on the camel’s back.
