So what does it really mean to business if the Clark County Commission goes all-Democratic this year? No more Bruce Woodbury and Chip Maxfield — in their stead, Steve Sisolak and Larry Brown. Would it be a commission that kowtowed to labor, bending to the unions’ every whim and want, attacking businesses it doesn’t like and coddling those it does? Would developers have to prove they are labor-friendly, lest they be denied approvals? That seems a little much — although it might help the GOP candidates raise money — because Brown and Sisolak don’t strike me as serious lefties. But would the election of those two change the dynamic of the commission in ways we might not even foresee? No doubt.
