FLASHPOINT:

If the results of Super Tuesday …

If the results of Super Tuesday told us anything about the Democratic race for president — and they didn’t clarify the nomination picture much at all — they told us that Nevada, unlike Iowa and New Hampshire, did reveal the contours of this race. Latinos putting Hillary Clinton over the top in a state such as California. Blacks pushing Obama to wins in the South. Older women powering Clinton’s victories in several states. Obama’s ability to win in rural areas. All of these features of the race became apparent in Nevada on Jan. 19, which may as well be called Super Saturday because we could have foretold Super Tuesday from there. Nevada: the national bellwether. Don’t forget it.
