Here’s how one Democratic delegate described today’s county convention at Bally’s: “I can’t think of a more idiotic and expensive way that Nevada picks its delegates to the national convention. Can you imagine being at Bally’s with 7,000 other people split into two camps? The only thing that this setup does is split the party. When we should be fighting the Republicans we end up fighting each other ... Is there some reason that Nevada can’t have a logical political process where there is a primary election and a general fall election and the voters decide who is the nominee? I hope (Chairman) John Hunt has the riot squad on alert on Saturday because if it’s anything like the caucuses, he sure will need it!” Sounds like fun!
