Speak up if you want affordable fuel

Sen. Barack Obama’s energy plan policy might as well have been drafted in the ’70s. He supports a windfall profits tax on big oil. Obama says the extra tax will help the poor who cannot afford their energy bills. Did anyone tell Mr. Obama that big oil will pass the tax on to consumers?

Alternative energy is something we have to look at, but it will take decades to pan out, if it ever does. If we drill now, it will take less than three years before the new oil hits the market. Drilling now will tell the world’s oil suppliers we mean business, and the cost of oil will drop in no time because they will know the strongest nation on Earth means business. Tell Congress and the Democrats to bring it up for a vote. It will never happen unless we tell them what to do!
